Originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Matt now lives in Louisville, Kentucky. He has an associates degree in photography from a small community college in Harrisburg, PA, as well as, a BFA from Millersville University with concentrations in sculpture, graphic design and printmaking. While at Millersville, Matt had the opportunity to learn, and fall in love with, the lost wax method of bronze casting, and has become quite fascinated with mold-making, and casting small objects from materials such as concrete, bronze, as well as, U.S. currency and clear sugar candy.

Matt's work has been exhibited in a number of juried and group exhibitions in Pennsylvania. He has also been part of group exhibitions at small galleries in New Orleans, Louisiana, Fayetteville, North Carolina and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
